Nike 1948 London played host to an opening event last Thursday for the launch of Nike Sportswear’s Athletics Far East Collection. Influenced by Japanese manufacturing, the line features a selection of Nike’s recent traits, such as Lunar Foam technology and an assortment of luminous color choices amongst apparel and footwear. Jay-Z “Decoded” Book Preview

The cover art for Jay-Z’s Decoded has finally been unveiled. Decoded plays the role of exactly what its title suggest, the decoding of 36 classic Jay-Z tracks. For each, Hov provides his own insight into the meaning behind particular lyrics, and his reasoning for writing them. Educational and equally entertaining, the book will be offered in a hardcover version through publisher Spiegel & Grau and in digital form via an eBook and iPhone/iPad app. A release is set for November 16th through finer booksellers, including Amazon, which is now taking pre-orders for the special price of $21 USD.

Swiss watchmakers Tag Heuer link up with Hackett of London on a couple of limited edition timepieces, merging Tag Heuer’s sporty yet sophisticated aesthetic with the refined elegance of Hackett. Building off Tag Heuer’s Carrera style, the designs include “The Watch” which is a small three-hand automatic and “The Chronograph”, the larger of the two. Both feature steel cases with black dials, complimented by several key details, including Hackett branding, Arabic numerals, and “Blue Cornflower” accents. Only 100 units in each style were produced, both set to release in November 2010 through Hackett London.
